18 Lessons I've Learned in 18 Years

1.  Don’t let what other people say get to you. They have no idea what you’re going through.

2. Sometimes, lying feels like the right thing to do, but it never is. The truth will eventually come out, and you’ll regret that you even lied in the first place.

3. Don’t let other people stop you from following your dreams and doing what you love. It isn’t their life, it’s yours.

4. You don’t find love, love finds you.

5. Things happen for a reason. You might not know right away why it happened, but you will someday.

6. Don’t be afraid to try new things. I swear, it’ll make you love life even more.

7. You’ll never know the true meaning of happiness, if you don’t experience pain.

8. I’ve made a lot of good and bad decisions, but the best decision I ever made is becoming closer to God.

9.  Appreciate the little things.

10. Doing something by yourself or being alone can really be good for a you. Sometimes, it can even be enjoyable.

11. It is okay to cry and be sad about something or someone. It is normal.

12. But don't cry forever. Do something productive to help you forget what made you sad.

13. Each and everyone of us has a purpose. Never think you are worthless.

14. Change is constant; learn to love it.

15. Patience is the key to happiness.

16. Change isn't bad at all. It just means you're growing up.

17. You're not the only one who has problems; everyone else does too. No one's life is perfect.

18. Say YES! It can lead to a lot more than you think, but be careful what you say yes too.
